To our Casa Vicente friends and family:
We hope this finds you well. Our original plan was to re-open Casa Vicente within a year of closing . But, unfortunately, the broader project and construction process (out of our hands) took much longer than expected. And then the Pandemic pushed the project further on hold.
We miss and re-live Casa Vicente everyday through our family, friends, and memories. While we have the intention, the energy, and the desire to come back to serve our friends and clientele and the Tucson community as a whole, we have to accept the reality of the situation, which is thar project—as one on Stone can see—hasn’t even gotten started.
We are holding out hope, but are also on the lookout for a fresh new start. We hope that more favorable times are ahead of us when we reconsider a new version of Casa Vicente. In the meantime, we have spent the last year in Tucson safety enjoying a beautiful piece of the desert, keeping you in our thoughts.
We encourage you to continue use this space to share your memories of Casa Vicente. We love seeing your smiles, even if just in pictures, and hearing your thoughts, even if we can’t share a glass of wine with you.
Un saludo a todos,
Marita and Vicente

So, the rebuild is advancing... The old building has been demolished to make room for the new construction. We removed everything that is meaningful/valuable/sentimental before this happened. As far as we know, this signals some form of progress towards the next phase. It has all taken a lot longer than any of us anticipated. We will keep you informed as the new space starts to come together.

Update: Although there are no visible, physical signs that progress has been made, the project is moving along and a little closer to beginning construction. At this point, we still don't have a target date or timeline for completion. But, we are quietly getting pieces back together so that when the building is ready for us to enter, we will open back up as soon as possible. Again, thank you all for your patience and support.

Update Oct 2017: So, after a meeting with the property owners and their architect, it looks pretty certain that we will be closed for at least a year, if not a little more. The good news is that, although no progress is visible, they are actively working with the city to finalize design approvals and secure construction permits. Again, thank you all for your support. For those of you asking, Just be assured that when our space is ready, we will be back!

Update for August 30, 2017: Casa Vicente's vacation break this year will be longer than we had hoped. Our property owners decided to review renovation ideas and shift plans and timelines. The new plan, as of now, will require more time.. so, we most likely envision being closed through most of the upcoming season. We so appreciate all your support and patience and letters. We will keep you posted with any new information. Our hope is that, when it's all done, it will be worth the wait. May everybody have a good year.

We will be getting many new systems ( electrical, plumbing, and gas) as we move to a different part our same building ( the back portion that currently houses the wine storage and cellar, offices, and general storage), The process should begin right away and will be update here as we see progress.
